Yesterday marked then end of my last ever adult placement 🤭I loved every second of working with the Head and Neck Team! Feeling inspired and lucky to have such interesting placements with kind and knowledgable educators (and a great group of patients) 🏥🗣🧠 #SLT2B

We need to stop overlooking no tech AAC for patients in ICUs. A patient with aphasia was trained to answer yes/no ?s using an iPad. But the iPad wasn’t charged today and the patient couldn’t participate in rounds. He was able to do a thumb up/down for yes/no yet nobody tried it.
