From my wife’s dog rescue:

We come to you at the end of 2023 with a plea for help. 😩

We are often asked how people can help if they cannot foster or adopt. There are many ways to help but one of the best ways to help is donating! When it comes down to it, the cost of each individual dog’s adoption fee simply does not cover the expenses of running a rescue. Especially when we don’t back down from taking in dogs who need to be treated for heartworms, long term shelter dogs, dogs who need professional training, or need other medical care beyond the basics. Those dogs deserve just as much of a chance as every other dog to find their forever homes and get out of the shelter.

In 2023, we adopted out 144 dogs, 19 of which were treated for heartworms. We currently have 55 dogs in our care, 10 of which are being treated for heartworms.

We’ve had multiple dogs who’ve needed x-rays recently, two dogs who needed eye removals, our senior girl Rebecca who was in the shelter for over 2 years is having a surgery to remove a cyst this week - honestly the list goes on. And our bank account is feeling the pressure.

We need your help to continue our mission of saving dogs from the shelter life and placing them into forever homes into the new year!

In 2018, I had food poisoning so bad I had to be taken in an ambulance. My neighbors got into my house, CARRIED me down the stairs, (wife helped me get dressed including a pad). They take care of my cats and I used to drive their kids to school. I wish better for y’all.
