Last week, I kicked off my first teaching role at @USC as a fall fellow. Our study group is exploring Local Leadership & Systems Change in LA. I couldn’t have asked for a better guest than Robin Kramer to kick off the convo around who holds power in our very complex metropolis.
Glad to be featured in @LABJnews where I had the opportunity to discuss the business community's role in addressing homelessness. At CCA we continue to convene business leaders & policymakers to move the needle on housing affordability & homelessness: https://t.co/yVJ6EsVgfz
The 2022 Homeless Count records a smaller rise in homelessness than prior yrs, but encampments have increased. 84K were placed into PSH, but ppl still fall into homelessness faster than they're rehoused. Our collective advocacy is more critical than ever. https://t.co/Ybr7dfQFj8
Huge congratulations to my friend @WTCLAStephen for becoming @LAEDC's next President & CEO! I look forward to seeing him continue to lead and help create an #equitable and #sustainable LA economy.
Congratulations to #UCLALuskin Board of Advisors member Stephen Cheung (MSW '07) @WTCLAStephen. The double Bruin has been named as the new president & CEO of @LAEDC, succeeding longtime president Bill Allen when he retires in January. @UCLALuskinSW @ucla https://t.co/oXZ9TvPnNR

Proud of our latest CCA white paper that thoughtfully encourages larger-scale affordable housing to better serve vulnerable Angelenos and reach LA’s housing production goals. A worthwhile read! https://t.co/l4GhCVs6Od

Thank you to my friends Josh Gertler & Chris Joseph for having me on the "Oy Vey L.A." podcast! We discussed my mayoral run, thoughts on the June primary election, and ways we can meaningfully address LA's homelessness crisis. Listen: https://t.co/I4QWw8gUPL
We must grieve. And then we must continue the fight. We reject living under the tyranny of the minority. A court of 9 people cannot determine the will and way of life of every woman in our country. (5/5)
My little girl was giggling and crawling on me when I saw the news that Roe is being overturned. I shed tears as I imagined an uncertain future for her, and all women, and she asked me, "Mommy, what's wrong?" (1/5)

#FlashbackFriday: Last month was CCA’s return of Treasures of LA. It reminded me that connecting in person truly cannot be replicated virtually & we each have a role to play in bettering LA. I’m grateful to everyone who joined us to honor fellow Angelenos. We're in this together.
I’m honored to announce that my nomination to serve on the LAHSA Commission was approved by the LA City Council. I’m eager to begin working alongside my fellow commissioners to help ensure clear authority and collaborative governance to optimize homeless service delivery.
When @JessLall said that she was running ‘because LA needs a different kind of leadership that’s fueled by action, creativity and inclusivity.’ I couldn’t agree more. I was impressed with her ideas and policy proposals in her campaign, & I look forward to working with her.
MOST Americans support common sense gun regulations like background checks, red flag warnings & banning assault rifles, which are designed for mass murder. Together, let’s pressure the 50 US Senators who refuse to take action: https://t.co/XlJgIeWSQ3 https://t.co/16xefRLktl

Together we stand – angry as hell, determined to enact change. Repeated acts of gun violence are unique to America for one reason: unregulated access to guns. (1/3)
As a mother, I am reminded of the overwhelming truth that I cannot protect my daughter without the help of my surrounding community. Together is how we overcome the foreboding hopelessness and helplessness. (2/3)
