Excited to share our work on psychological processes in Premenstrual Disorders at @EABCT! Huge thanks to my @KingsDClinPsy colleague @JessPRadley for pulling together our symposium on mental health during the Premenstrual & Perinatal periods🩸🤰#EABCT2025
Open and honest conversations about mental health are essential, especially with young people. This video offers valuable insights into how to approach these important discussions. 👇

Read our new article about how we co-produced a psychoeducation video at all stages from conceptualisation to dissemination. Young people came up with the idea, told us what they wanted the video to look like, voiced the animations and said where to disseminate the video.
📄Co-production in CAMHS📄
My first placement on the DClinPsy was in CAMHS where the Youth Advisory Group was asking for a way to tell the adults in their lives what is and is not helpful to hear when they are experiencing mental health distress.

📜New paper from my PhD📜 https://t.co/Z0gIoP18TA
One third of people with psychosis are a parent, however family research in psychosis focuses on families of origin. We aimed to investigate how an episode of psychosis in a parent is experienced by the parent and their family.
We found that psychosis impacted the whole family, especially when parents were separated from their children. The secrecy that existed around psychosis left children worried and confused. We need to support these families to communicate about any mental health difficulties.
