Dresser, for the argument of people 'giving back their vote' to a 'previous party' there must have been initially a change in voting support. Coahuila has been uninterruptedly governed by the PRI. Their citizens cannot 'return a support' they never took away in the first place.

Yes, most wealthy or middle-income Mexicans have no problems with inhabitants of entire neighborhoods being disposed of their homes because landlords find expat houses more profitable. In fact, most of those Mexicans would rather have white, expat neighbors than fellow Mexicans.
Most Mexicans have no problem whatsoever with foreigners living in Mexico, and many are actually proud that they choose Mexico as their new home.
Especially if you respect and love the culture, learn Spanish, and get involved in making the country a better place.
Don’t fall for the online propaganda.
Most wealthy or middle-income Mexicans for whom the effects of a gentrified city are less bothersome or simply less evident have no problems with rents exceeding 35,000 pesos monthly in a city where 55% have informal jobs and around 47% earn only minimum salary (7500 per month).

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

Israel must immediately repeal the discriminatory death penalty law passed today by the Knesset, as it contravenes Israel’s obligations under international law.
The United Nations opposes the death penalty under all circumstances. The implementation of this new law would violate international law's prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment.
Additionally, this law further entrenches Israel’s violation of the prohibition of racial segregation and apartheid as it will exclusively apply to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Israel, who are often convicted after unfair trials.

The USA is a terrorist state.
Hospitals, nursing homes, water treatment plants.
All without power because of a cruel and illegal medieval siege of a tiny island.
I don’t think you understand how catastrophic the oil refinery bombing in Tehran is.
Burning petroleum releases sulfur and nitrogen oxides that mix with rain to form sulfuric and nitric acid, essentially turning rainfall toxic.
When Saddam burned Kuwaiti oil wells in 1991, the fallout contributed to what became known as Gulf War Syndrome, with veterans developing chronic illness and cancer decades later.
The difference now: this isn’t a desert battlefield, it’s a city of 10 million people, most of which women and children.
I landed in Havana today. Trump’s fuel blockade is choking the life out of this city. Havana is near silent, empty streets, empty markets. Not because there’s no food, but because farmers can’t get fuel to deliver it. Trump is trying to starve 11 million people into submission. This is a crime against humanity, unfolding in plain sight. Night falls and the city struggles to keep lights on, in total defiance after 66 years of economic war. The world must stop looking away. Let Cuba live!

@lahay_peter It could be that the Mexicans you are exposed to belong to specific economical classes that are known to prefer neoliberal government policies? Middle-class, upper middle-class and wealthy Mexican families historically have been more likely supporters of neoliberal PAN or the PRI
Shield of the Americas: world’s largest narco-state advances imperialist goals in Latin America via a so-called war on drugs that provides cover for campaign of extrajudicial executions & hemispheric militarization…with the help of 12 servile, rightwing regional allies
When Germany’s bourgeoisie calls for “more dirty work” and less international law, it tells you where German politics and capital are heading.
Germany is militarizing its society at historic speed.
Europe should remember where this road once led.
I think Law Schools should stop teaching International Law and replace it with US Foreign Policy. Because clearly International Law is US Foreign Policy.
