A commitment isn’t a reward for what you’ve done—it’s a bet on what coaches believe you can become.

The players who continue developing after they commit are the ones who thrive at the next level. The ones who stop doing the work because they think they’ve made it are usually the ones who struggle, enter the portal, or never become the player everyone thought they could be.

If your mindset is that you don’t need to keep getting better because you’re committed, you’re probably not ready to compete for a spot against players who’ve been in that program for 4-5 years and never stopped working.

A commitment isn’t the destination. It’s the opportunity.
