BREAKING: Avalanche closes Highway 91 near Copper Mountain; cars buried.

What we know so far: https://t.co/vO87OC1cyE

[Kansas City Fire Department (KCFD) @KCMOFireDept]

Sleeping with your bedroom door closed can buy the time needed to save your life! Also closing the door as you leave a room on fire can help us contain it to the room of origin. #kcfd #staysafekc #kcmo #firesafety

@OakParkWrestle in St Joe is postponed for tonight!

[JTunstill @JessTunstill]

@Northmen_AD @OakParkWrestle looks like the boys will be traveling in STL through the heavier snow totals in STL and on 1-70, in addition to no travel warnings in KC. Just wandering if y’all are seeing the same forecast that we are. #latestmodel #weekendforecast

St. Louis in for more snow this weekend. Then the bitter cold arrives. https://t.co/ztcnQwpXET #stlwx

[Missouri State Emergency Management Agency @MoSEMA_]

Be prepared for what may be coming...
✅Follow your local forecast, look for details & timing of potential precipitation.
✅Pack your winter storm kit in your car.
✅Use extra caution while driving & avoid unnecessary travel.

Look at that angry purple blob next to St. Louis. Winter storm Harper looks like it’s trying to outdo winter storm Gia from last weekend. Maybe we should name the next winter storm after a dude and it’ll be kinder to us 🌬

[The Weather Channel @weatherchannel]

#WinterStormHarper will become a major snowstorm Friday into the weekend from the Midwest to the Northeast: https://t.co/PwDAALkkUV

[FOX4 News Kansas City @fox4kc]

A Winter Weather Advisory begins at 6pm & lasts until 9am tomorrow. A wintry mix will begin this afternoon/evening & linger into early tomorrow AM. This will result in icy conditions for some. ***I am expecting issues for the drive in tomorrow!*** ^Karli Ritter

[JTunstill @JessTunstill]
