@misslunngeog I always thank pupils straight away -Seems to encourage pupils to follow instructions and feel valued. Focus on positive language eg.Rather than saying why are you not doing that, say what should you be doing -reinforces the correct behaviour without them feeling negative.

@TravelTeach31 No problem. I have also done star geographer phone calls home. For your most difficult pupils if they have an improved lesson it is always worth picking up the phone to let home know. Will help to build a relationship and hopefully help towards positive behaviour next time too
