@ItsEmilyKaty I only check this platform once a month or less... It's funny to see this one when I was visiting Hay-on-Wye last week. The area is beautiful, and somehow, all these book shops remain thriving!
Phonological awareness skills are crucial for literacy, but are also an area that many children, including those with #DevLangDis struggle with. The wonderful people at @SLSncl have produced FREE assessment and intervention resources. https://t.co/JLTa3Fsgw3
After a conversation with @ElaineMcgreevy, I decided to write about navigating baby & toddler groups as an #autistic parent. Does anyone else relate?

@InfoSmira Selective.Mutism.Merch!
Spread the word. Let's raise some much needed funding for SMiRA and create some much needed awareness for SM.
#MySLTday big thank you to @what3words for the info & graphics for me to create a QR code for the appointment base.
Many are missed because people attend the wrong site. I'm hoping the QR code on letters will make a difference, particularly for those who don't have English as L1
#RCSLTConf2023 I think I'm going to try this for my notetaking in tomorrow's sessions. Thanks for the idea!
Keep organisation tips coming please @KiraSLT2B

I know it’s the last day of July, I haven’t had the spoons or energy to do much for Disability Pride Month. (July has been interesting for me). But I’d like to say something: “I’m disabled & proud!” 💜. Two words I’d have never have said, let alone in the same sentence! Cont…
@Peston SM is NOT a choice; 'selective' is a medical term meaning 'not pervasive'; ie the person is sometimes able to speak, when they aren't too anxious. Impacts all communication not just speech. Is possible to support dev of communication sensitively and supportively - TALK to SMiRA!
"SMiRA, the national charity for selective mutism, a condition in which anxiety prevents some children from communicating in school, agrees with RCSLT and would also be keen to help shape any policy or planning @uklabour@rcsltpolicy
If ‘Inside Out’ was neurodivergent.
I have never seen a video like this and am mind-blown at how Georgia has created such a perfect re-enactment of many of our neurodivergent brains. I was sent this by a colleague and will now be sharing with everyone!
