If you tell someone there was another mass shooting they will respond, “Another one?” They then are curious how many people died, and once you tell them they will shake their head and carry on with the previous conversation. America, something is wrong when this is normal.
A3: I've learned not to defend the "status quo." We don't have to do what we've always done! In teaching we need to constantly be changing things up to match what's current to students and the world they will soon face. #mvesfuturedriven
A2: I've implemented passion projects this year which has allowed students to drive their own learning: researching, writing, and creating things based on their learning. :) #mvesfuturedriven
#mvesfuturedriven A1: Getting others to buy into the change may be one obstacle that we face. It is often scary for people to face change, take risks, and move forward. At MVES, we need to be positive cheerleaders for each other and encourage new opportunities and risk-taking!
I had a blast teaching math groups in @JesseBarger4 today! These kids are on point with their decimal and fraction equivalents! #proudprincipal @MVESEagles
@LeslieKapuchuck I would like to become more comfortable with kids taking ownership of their learning rather than me doing all the teaching and talking!
