BREAKING: Users say Amazon Web Services is suffering a major outage. The company provides cloud computing services to individuals, universities, governments and companies including The Associated Press.

Amazon has yet to comment on the outage and few details are available.

@relistan Exactly my point. Crypto is making it easier to get paid for less sophisticated parties, but so is the fact that the US isn't investing in cybersecurity defense. I take issue with all the opinion pieces that say banning crypto will stop ransomware attacks is just flawed thinking.

@relistan Sort of. The author confirms that USD is used for crimes, but then says it has regulatory structure and that crypto is only used for extortion. It's a currency that is accepted by an increasing number of places.

In the past two weeks I’ve been able to do normal things and it has felt good. I still mask because I have kids and they aren’t vaxed (can’t be yet). But I’m doing normal things outside again and having vaxed people inside is so welcome after the past year.
