"Love is a stronger feeling than hate...how many people are willing to act on change? Willing to be the change they desire to see instead of just pointing fingers?"
- Jameis Winston
@bobpockrass This has gotta be the worst rule in sports. Taking track time away from rookie drivers is ridiculous. Give these teams a chance to fix it and let them on the track.
Shane van Gisbergen's onboard as he drove from 25th after his pit stop all the way to first under green.
Maybe I sped it up for speedwatching purposes. Maybe he was just driving that fast. idk
@saturn91984@jeff_gluck I know, we were down in turn 1 on Saturday. Both races were great in my opinion. Anytime you got somebody who comes from that far back to win is astonishing. Must be I’m the only one that feels that way 🤷🏼♂️
@jeff_gluck A guy came from 30 seconds back with 20 laps to go and won, and that’s bad? This was an awesome race to watch in person. We survived a tornado in turn 1 lol
NASCAR's Jusan Hamilton, one of the primary schedule architects, is an Ithaca, N.Y. native (nearby Watkins Glen is his home track). He said from his experience, "it typically feels like summer in May, so I don't see a huge risk in having the race that time of year." He also said the data they looked at shows weather possibly in the low 70s and chance of rain lower than August. "The weather for camping should be great, and I think we'll be able to put on a really good show that time of year," he said.
