Bremerton used to have such low housing prices and the subsequent savings of living in Bremerton is accompanied by the subsidized commuting cost of the state ferries. If they're anything like the bus service then we know the fares don't come close to covering the cost. I live where I work, and work where I live. IMHO fuck the ferries. If it's not the ferry system then it's sound transit vacuuming tax money.

It's a matter of readiness. Readiness involves uniformity. A no shave chit (beardo) can't properly don an O2 apparatus or respirators. Now I have to divide my people into two groups and the ones who can't wear those items won't be allowed to do chemical work, firefighting, or set a Mission Oriented Protective Posture. Readiness suffers and the unit is less prepared when fewer personnel can participate in command objectives.
