Him, JT, Nelson, etc should all be on the trade block for their own sanity. This team isn’t going anywhere once again and they should have the opportunity to thrive elsewhere while the Colts get what draft return they can get and blow this whole thing up.
The real issue of Christian faith is not whether one confesses Jesus as the Messiah or not, but whether one is willing to follow Jesus in the way of redemptive suffering or not.
I have never, ever, ever seen a team like this before. The #Pacers are utterly ridiculous, and I mean that as a compliment.
The ability to take every team’s best shot and continue to punch back until the *very* end is remarkable. This feels like freakin’ Hoosiers.
Pity the man who is so insecure he must bully others to make himself feel good.
Pity the nation that chooses the bully to lead them, and believes the lies he spews.
Pity the pastors who defend the bully and desert the bullied ones whom Jesus blessed -the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers, the widows and orphans, and all those Christ called “the least of these.”
Lord help us to stand with the bullied rather than the bully, knowing that Christ is always near to the vulnerable.
Let us remember your promise, Oh God, that the mighty will be cast down and the lowly will be lifted up. The bullied will be raised up and the bullies will be humbled. The last will be first and the first will be last.
Deliver us from this bully, oh Lord.
(Also, it’s so embarrassing that we have a President who gets away with stuff we would never allow our teenagers to get away with. Help us, Lord.)

I’m absolutely speechless. This team is just unbelievable. Shoutout Nesmith and Tyrese and OT Obi. Team does not quit. I’ve lost my mind. I can’t calm down
It's important to point out that this is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Jesus teaches in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10), the sermon in his hometown synagogue (Luke 4), and basically every other time he opened his mouth.
If your first allegiance is to Christ, you find your brothers and sisters on every corner of the world.
If your first allegiance is your nation, everyone outside the border is suspect.
When the world is brutal, we can retreat into the love of Christ for personal communion with Him. It's like going from a noisy traffic jam to a quiet garden. All Christians have this access. Wonderful to remember.
The most powerful, subversive, Christ-like thing you can do this election cycle is to guard your heart against the mean & arrogant posture that now defines our public discourse.
Preserve the wellspring of your soul. It will take you so much farther than any worldly outcome.
