@DrFrancesRyan@s@samaritans Thank you Frances. You really didn’t have to respond though. I am very grateful for people like you fighting for us and am honestly in awe. I do wish I could do something to help the cause one day. Maybe one day I will ❤️
@Myjourney31 @Mayz131 Oh my god I’ve been suffering urine retention for over a year. I never completely empty my bladder and find it hard to go. I’ve had cystoscospy and scan and they can’t find anything wrong 😑
@drjanaway@psychgeist52 Honestly curious what’s the point of being so nasty? This is a really serious subject and its so disappointing seeing professional tear each other down :-(
@DrFrancesRyan@s@samaritans when people first meet me. I couldn’t even dream about having children as it would be dangerous and I’m 40 now. I feel that I’m getting worse and have absolutely no meaning in my life and haven’t worked for 15 years. I just find life incredibly hard and I didn’t ask to be here
@DrFrancesRyan@s@samaritans Please know I’m safe but I’d like to say that I don’t think my life deeply matters I don’t have a proper diagnosis for my possible intellectual difficulties I’m on a waiting list for an adhd assessmen but I am useless at everything and it’s embarrassing as I come across capable1/
@karenwhybro This is what they do. Even with domestic violence it’s “men get abused too” why can’t they come in with empathy “it’s awful what women go through etc.,” and after that discussion bring up men. It’s because they HATE women
@SameiHuda I find this is the problem. They don’t seem to like it when you bring it up but it really needs discussing l. If you don’t have a diagnosis or even if you come off your medication you can’t get benefits. The government and rest of the world don’t see it there way
We are outraged at this. Then those child survivors come into services looking for help and we tell them their responses to what happened are their disordered personalities. Then we treat them as such. The outrage evaporates and we blame them.
@robwipond What are the long term affects of antipsychotics use? I didn’t see that In the article but very interested
I was on them for 15 years and really struggle still
Whenever I see these studies showing long-term, sometimes permanent harms of antipsychotics, my heart goes out especially to the many people being forced to take these heavy, heavy tranquilizing drugs.

@RITB_ she had referred me to OT but only one in the team and it’s been 2 months. Hopefully they will help me look at what I can and can’t do with my time. I feel so worthless and I just want to know what’s wrong with me so I can see what I can do to help others. But just so lost
@RITB_ I still haven’t decided. I just can’t. I feel I’ve been misdiagnosed. Praying someone will talk to me about possible adhd but I got fobbed off as I was being discharged. Thankfully my drug and alcohol worker is helping as much as she can with that but only see her once a month 1/
