Glad to have been involved in another book donation, this time of 1800+ books from @ELTNGLEurope which have already reached the wonderful @Book_Aid International warehouse, and started being put to use! πππβ¨β€οΈ
Whenever possible, @CengageLearning supports us with donations of brand-new higher education and English Language Teaching books.
As they packed the latest donation @Jessica2Edwards and Dan Humm Soriano, told us more about this charity partnership.

It's been ages since I last went to the London Book Fair (nearly a decade, where has the time gone?!), but it once again provided an inspirational boost, the air literally buzzing with passion for all things books, reading and creativity - a wonderfully inspiring atmosphereπ π
Didn't let being on crutches prevent me from attending the #FutureBook23 conference today! π So many great sessions, packed with fascinating speakers and conversations.
I feel like I've got a lot of thoughts to take away and chew over - and many more inspiring people on my radar to watch π and learn from! ππ π
Really proud to have assisted in the publication of this article. Worth a read for a dose of optimism in times of conflict - so much inspiring work has been done to protect libraries from destructive forces, or to recreate and rebuild in their aftermath. @Book_Aid@AliceProchaska
The latest from #UKSGInsights - Librarianship in times of conflict by @AliceProchaska, Chair of @Book_Aid "In times of conflict, the determination of librarians, archivists and curators to preserve the power of reading is an irreplaceable force for good." https://t.co/NYnD1LtV3q

The Bookseller asked me to write about my experiences of disability and working in publishing. Itβs the most terrifying and painfully honest thing Iβve ever written, but I hope it can be a useful part of the important ongoing conversations about diversity in the industry.
Another really *wonderful* @Book_Aid event tonight, with Mariella Frostrup! Whether it was hearing about her own admirable life or many creative endeavours, it was such an interesting interview! Plus a good few laughs ("...no yolk" made me chuckle!) Thank you @mariellaf1 π
If you're looking for something to do during another evening in #lockdown, why not join this great "Books Change Lives" event with @Book_Aid International?
A live interview with writer, broadcaster and campaigner #MariellaFrostrup *6pm tonight* ππποΈπ¨οΈβ¬οΈ

Really enjoyed the @Book_Aid interview with David Nicholls @DavidNWriter tonight! Such a friendly, genuine person, with some fascinating insights into his books, his literary influences, sources of inspiration, the process of adapting novels - and some advice for writers!ππ
@DavidNWriter @Book_Aid I'll be there! Looking forward to it. I remember 'One Day' had me crying buckets whilst listening to the audio on a car journey - such a powerful novel. The characters really seemed to jump off the page (/out of the speakers...) π
At 6pm Tuesday evening (10th Nov) @Book_Aid are running a live (Zoom) interview and Q&A with 'One Day' author David Nicholls! You can donate anything from Β£1 to join. Help send more books to those in need and enjoy a fascinating interview!π
