This incredible statement from Ariel Bombara, whose father Mark Bombara murdered Jennifer and Gretl Petelczyc at Floreat, shows the great lengths she went to to protect her mum. It's extremely clear there were failures here. While his actions are his responsibility, if we don't fix the holes in the safety nets more women will be killed.
Note the narrative of Rohan Dennis being described as “world champion cyclist” while Melissa Hoskin is being described as “his own wife”, despite the fact she, too, was a world champion cyclist. Way to raise his status while demeaning hers, @7NewsMelbourne - do better.
Even when a woman loses her life, it always seems to be about the man. How troubled he was. How he struggled. What made him do it? 😒
Do better, journalists. 👏🏻
BREAKING: World champion cyclist Melissa Hoskins has been killed by her own cunt of a husband, who’s not worthy of being named let alone positively described.

Far too soon, I bring you news of another woman killed. A 31-year-old was stabbed to death last night in Kallangur, Qld. A man, believed to be her partner, has been taken into custody. She is the 71st Australian woman killed this year.
We live in a society that doesn’t believe women. If she was raped, she must have just been too drunk. If she’s being stalked and in fear of her life she’s just hysterical. If she’s got debilitating pain then she’s just attention-seeking. This pervades every area of life.
We’ve had so many discussions about DV and yet men in positions of power don’t understand that violence agnst women is not associated with mental illness, and perpetrators are frequently charming to everyone but their partner. John Collier is a disgrace

The fact that the head of an “elite” private boys’ school saw no problem with writing this, is all we need to know about what the problem is.

The endless justifications of atrocity on here would elsewhere be called: victim-blaming. But Jews, because of the deeply embedded association of this one minority with power, cannot be victims. They must always be held in some way responsible for their own misfortune.
BREAKING - The Taliban have reportedly banned girls aged over 10 from going to school in some provinces of Afghanistan (originally the ban was for girls aged over 11).
This is the tragic outcome when the world remains silent to the Taliban’s cruelty. https://t.co/7Cl0kxiYVG
