Tonight, I was able to view the stars but what if I didn’t have my sight? Wanda Diaz Merced, a blind astronomer, has discovered how to listen to gamma ray burst. This may be used in the future to include anyone with interest in understanding what lies in the heavens! @DorOKSG

@DorOKSG I watched the moon in awe with my binoculars. I noticed all the craters left on the moon and how beautiful it looked in the sky! It’s amazing how Galileo was about to see state that they were craters because of previous knowledge he acquired through shading in his art!

On October 14, 2021 I used the Planets app to see Lyra my favorite star)! The planisphere lined up with the Planets app very accurately! I also read about the North Star Polaris, although I didn’t see it on the app I saw where it should be above Camelopardalis!

In addition, I chose StarWalk2 because personally I prefer the graphics and layout on that particular app!

@DorOKSG For my second stargazing attempt with Sky Walk 2, I saw Pisces and Aquarius constellations! I used my planisphere to set the time and date and sure enough the constellations visible were the same from the app tonight! Overall, I prefer this app over GoSkyWalkPlanetarium.

@DorOKSG Once it got dark out I was able to stargaze using my binoculars and the GoSkyWatchPlanetarium! During this time I set up my Planisphere to the current date. I was able to spot the constellations shown on the planisphere with the app and in the sky, such as Aquarius!
