⚓️ Origins of the Constable’s Dues 🍷 In 1381, Richard II issued a grant that required every galley passing the Tower to present 'two roundlets of wyne' to the Constable.
Still today, when a Royal Naval vessel moors on the Wharf, they must deliver the ‘Dues’ 🛢️ #InsideTheTower
Poppy Fields at the Tower, a moving commemoration by @luxmuralis, begins tonight and runs until 16 Nov.
Brilliant @HRP_palaces colleagues both in front of the camera and behind the scenes (in high vis!) have launched the event tonight. I’m a very proud PR! ❤️
💙 Last night the White Tower @TowerofLondon was illuminated with the climate stripes for London for Show Your Stripes Day University of Reading ❤️ Each stripe represents a year over the past 150 years with colours showing the continued warming of our planet. 🌎 #ShowYourStripes
It is always a privilege to eavesdrop on interviews given by our passionate HRP colleagues, and I could listen to Graham talk about gardens for hours! Thanks for coming to see the blooms this week @littlemissnews 🌷
Hampton Court Palace's @HRP_palaces annual Tulip Festival is back until the 29th. Lucy Mayer has been behind the scenes with Head Gardener, Graham Dillamore. Have a listen to the interview to hear why the Tulip Festival is such a show-stopper 🌷

One of those completely bonkers days you have as a PR for @TowerOfLondon - today, the Ceremony of the Constable’s Dues executed by @RoyalMarines, complete with raiding craft, a helicopter, and plenty of media.
Incredibly proud of my awesome @HRP_PressOffice colleagues today!❤️
A busy day launching our new @HRP_palaces exhibition at Kensington Palace, “Untold Lives”. Ft fascinating objects and moving stories of palace workers past. The evidence of their lives might be fragmentary but their contribution was important -now they’re remembered in this show.
To Kensington Palace for a guided tour of @HRP_palaces's Untold Lives, which opens on Thursday.
Queen Charlotte's only surviving dress, a chamberpot used by George IV and a wet nurse's silver nipple shields are among the fascinating items on display.
