Equipping our SEVEE educator from @BerkeleyMiddle, Mrs. Fields, with cutting-edge environmental resources to excite and educate her students about conservation and sustainability. Continue cultivating our future eco-leaders! #SEVEE#HandsOnLearning@JessicaGateau
Another fun day of building DNA molecules! A simple activity that allowed students to visualize the shape of DNA, the base pairing rules, and the sugar-phosphate backbone. #Science#TeacherTuesday
Nothing better than having a beautiful bouquet of flowers to add to my view while I work from home! Grateful to work with such passionate school leaders who truly appreciate their school faculty and staff!
Admin wanted to take a moment to recognize our office staff, Ms. Batten and Ms. Ford, and our admin interns, @JessicaGateau and @SHSMrsGum, for all of the hard work they have put in preparing for our students to return!
A7: #edtechchat I think remote learning has (I hope) generated a bit more independence and sufficiency in our littles. I think when we return, we can expect these things and more from them when using tech in the classroom.
A6: #edtechchat I think it depends on the type of student - Ss who tend to be more independent flourished during remote learning using tech. However, Ss who tend to be bit more needy probably had a hit to their confidence during this time.
A4: #edtechchat - I think allowing students voice and choice when using tech as well as giving them the opportunity to provide YOU (the teacher) with feedback and suggestions for future tech tools. Don't underestimate what Ss know about tech!
A3: #edtechchat - I think it helps to use a variety of tech tools to keep their minds engaged but also helps to keep some tech tools consistent to boost confidence. I am a fan of gizmos, quizizz, classkick, edpuzzle and all things google.
A2: #edtechchat - I'm at the high school level - a technical skill I would expect my students to learn is how to troubleshoot and problem-solve technology issues on their own - especially with the potential of being somewhat virtual next year.
A1 - #edtechchat - before covid, tech in the classroom was a great resource but was also supplemented by many other things to promote student learning. I was able to try new/different things- but was also there to troubleshoot with them.
