@LeahRossHenry A5: We don't verbally cheer each other on. I think this is something we could practice more in the classroom. Be more observant when someone needs help and assist them however we can, even if it's positive encouragement to get to the finish line. #pblchat
@josh_cormier A4b: #pbl teachers and athletic coaches know the importance of team work and communication skills to work together effectively and efficiently. They also know how to guide their team/groups in the right direction to obtain success. #pblchat
@LeahRossHenry A4a: A coach that cheers on their team regardless of the score and can analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the team so when they go back to practice, they know what they have to work on. #pblchat
@josh_cormier A3: All players are at different levels - have different strengths and weaknesses, much like students in the classroom, so it's important to highlight what areas need improvement and work on those things to improve their game. #pblchat
@maggieleemchugh A2: For sure! Collaboration among classmates is key to effectively complete group work. It's important to have communication skills to work efficiently. #pblchat
@josh_cormier A1: Leadership is a great skill we can learn from sports. Being a good leader and showing your team mates a positive attitude, even when losing is an important skill for all learners to have. #pblchat
@LeahRossHenry I'm Jessica, I'm a junior high teacher and I love hockey. I played growing up and in university, and I now continue to play for fun. I have coached Track and Field and Soccer since becoming a teacher. I don't follow professional sports much anymore, besides golf! #pblchat
Part 1 of #GCRDTech has been a game changer in terms of teaching resources as a teacher! #Screencast will be super useful when I'm back in the classroom, or teaching virtually! @msvu_tech
E-portfolios would be a great way to measure student success over the course of a year, and if students wish, many years! I would have students include some of their favourite work, along with rough drafts and their final draft so they can see their personal growth! #GCRDTech
