@DeborahMeaden The whole industry is bizarrely wasteful. Millions of birds reared or imported, released and shot. Most buried or incinerated; could be given away to be eaten. It’s not about the birds, it’s about the ritual, the fun and the social climbing to be done whilst killing them.

@georgecmcgavin It’s Ash dieback. Many councils are just felling Ash trees, healthy or not, especially near roads and houses. That’s been the case near me in Somerset. If we’re not careful, we’re going to lose the species unnecessarily.

@DisneyPlusUK @BAFTA Personally, I am delighted that films like this are still made. In simplicity there is great depth and this allegory about the utter futility of human (Irish)conflict was brilliant. I particularly enjoyed the two women representing death & reason and Jenny, the innocents.

@LittleHardman It’s possible to communicate that the banana is still edible whilst not denying the child’s feelings. She’s upset. That’s real for her developing grasp of emotion and perfectly ok. The parent accepts the child’s feelings, apologies maybe but as an adult, helps Hope to move on.
