There has been a lot of great local football talent in Rome and Floyd County developed from the youth ranks all the way up through the high school level in recent years, and that is nowhere more evident than on the college fields across the country … https://t.co/pVtNczc7P4
Here's the list I've put together for former local football players (Rome, Darlington, Pepperell, Model, Armuchee, Coosa, Unity) playing on the college level this season.
If I left someone off, please let me know. I'll keep track of how they do each week with this list.
The College of Wooster officially launched its 154th academic year with an annual Convocation on Aug. 17, 2023, celebrating the start of the new year and the final leg of the Wooster journey for members of the Class of 2024. President Anne E. McCall, beginning her term this year as Wooster’s 13th president, invited the community to come together for a year of new beginnings.
“Our purpose at the College is time-honored across millennia and continents: learning, being, and becoming. For those of you who have just arrived, you have inserted yourselves here at The College of Wooster into a storied and on-going history of transmission and challenging, a process of acquiring time-honored knowledge, honing skills, and developing habits of the mind,” McCall said.
