WK11: Conflict is unavoidable at times, in a situation like this week's reading of unhappiness among staff members in the NHS, it's hard to please everyone with the resources available. As a leader it's being able to turn the conflict into a positive outcome, very difficult #B329
WK8: Really enjoyed the section on diversity in the workplace in this week's study. Such an important topic, however, sad that it still has to be taught. Leaders should realise that various backgrounds and experiences coming together will contribute a greater range of ideas #B329
WK 8: The situational leadership model is interesting. It showed I'm not very flexible in my leadership style and am lacking in the delegating and direct styles. I wonder how they propose to improve this, or is it a personality trait? Time will tell! #OUB329#b329
WK15: I'd never thought of resistance as a positive approach before as I've seen first hand how destructive it can be in a workplace. However, this week shed light on how important it is for improvement. Leaders should encourage open discussions #OUB329#B329#PowerToThePeople
WK9: Collaboration is so important in leadership, not only can you empower others, making them a part of the bigger picture but it also gives rise to opportunity to utilise the strengths of all individuals, with different backgrounds and experiences to draw upon. #OUB329#B329
Getting ready to launch our call-to-action, ‘Our children are hurting and changing destructive online behaviour is complex. It remains governments’ responsibility to protect citizens. #cyberbullyingkills#B329leadershipchallenge @OUB329 @jessicaOUB329 @aileen_omeara @charli_kidd
WK 16: Inspired by the ideas surrounding democratic leadership, where we can learn and grow from one another. A much more modern approach to leadership, perhaps more difficult, but worth it in the long run? We have so much to learn from others #OUb329
WK 16: A democratic approach to leadership is 100% the way forward! Respecting one another and learning from others when practising leadership is a more inclusive way of leading. In my opinion, this could only lead to a more engaged, content 'following' #OUB329#B329
Wk 15: Use of resistance leadership to instil a positive change. I've always thought of resistance as a negative concept. However, perhaps approached in the appropriate way would be a useful tool in the workplace, might prove challenging for me, I find it hard to say no! #OUB329
Wk 14: Place based leadership will prove useful when solving the #b329leadershipchallenge to ensure the call to action would be effective. Addressing challenges at an appropriate level is important, a useful skill to adopt in challenges in the workplace #OUB329#B329
Week 14: Interesting topic covering how to tackle issues effectively using the Tame, Wicked & Critical method.. This could come in useful when prioritising and solving issues. I never thought of categorising challenges in order to solve them before! #OUB329#Wk14#B329
Week 7 (cont): This week's study inspired me to change some traits of my own in order to improve my leadership. Both in my personal and professional life I lack confidence to be a convincing leader so this is something I can work on to change my identity. #OUB329
Week 7: Identity is an important part in what role you play in an organisation. Each person's identity is unique and certain traits of a person's identity determines whether they will make an inspiring leader or not. #OUB329
