🙏🇺🇦 Blessed by the Pope, the medical transport convoy for border guards has set off for Ukraine
Almost 30 vehicles, including 20 resuscitation vehicles, are already heading to the Ukrainian border guards.
Today, I signed a decree establishing a new special day – the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces. From now on, it will be observed every year on June 11. A day of our respect and gratitude to the USF.
For the first time in the world, such a branch of the military was created – in Ukraine. We are developing the USF to the max, and it is Ukrainians who have proved that through technology, ingenuity, and courage, we can change the nature of warfare. We can achieve objectives that were previously either completely out of reach of conventional weapons or extremely difficult to achieve and required an enormous expenditure of resources.
In just one year since the establishment of the USF Grouping, Russian targets of various levels worth nearly $40 billion have been struck. Most importantly, these are different types of strikes, and each one expands our ability to save lives.
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are truly a model for many other militaries.
On that gloomy morning of February 24, 2022, with missile strikes thundering from every direction in Kyiv, I would never have believed that Russia’s invasion would last longer than either the entire Eastern Front of World War II or the whole of World War I.
And I certainly would not have believed that, after a span of time equal to the entire Great War, Ukraine would still be fighting with great valor on equal terms against the full might of Russia and its totalitarian allies -- and, moreover, would be launching devastating daily and nightly missile and drone strikes across the European part of Russia.
What we have gotten used to in the news on the daily basis is actually historic, revolutionary, outstanding, mindblowing, and it will take us a lot of time to truly ascertain this.
As time has shown, Ukrainian heroism turned everything upside down and changed the course of history at a moment when almost no one believed in Ukraine.
Alberta - and all of Canada - are set to boom in the coming years. Foreign direct investment in Canada is at its highest level in 18 years - and twice that of the next closest G7 country.
Horrifying moment of russian drone strike on bus stop in Zaporizhzhia‼️
At least 2 people killed, at least 15 reported injured.
Bastards! Bloody terrorists!
When people see a maple leaf on a uniform, they see hope. They get help.
On Canadian Armed Forces Day, we honour the women and men who defend our sovereignty. They represent the very best of Canada.
Russians say its now absolute carnage for them at the front, with so many Russian corpses that grown men cry at the sight, with more Ukrainian drones every day and inability for any vehicle to be used and no means to remove any of the dead.
Today, the Russians again struck the special territory around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. A “shahed” hit one of the buildings of the Centralized Spent Fuel Storage Facility. An extremely critical infrastructure facility – and an extremely vile Russian strike. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, and all our services are already working to ensure that each of our partners knows what has happened.
Russia deliberately struck this particular nuclear infrastructure facility. As of now, there are no readings exceeding normal background radiation levels. But there is certainly an increase in Russia’s brazenness, which long ago went off the charts. Ukrainian first responders extinguished the fire at this facility after the strike. And real new steps by the world are needed so that the Russians feel that this terrorist war of theirs is a blow to Russia itself.
Last night, there were also Russian strikes on other civilian facilities in 13 of our regions. In total, over the course of this past week, Russia launched 88 missiles, more than 3,250 attack drones, and around 1,800 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine. Pressure on Russia must be increased. Thank you to everyone who’s helping!
I’m loving this sort of thing.
For years, Russia has been yelling about “Ukrainian Nazis,” the “Kyiv junta,” the “protection of the people of Donbas,” the “NATO threat,” and “we didn’t start this war, Ukraine attacked us.”
And then, as if nothing happened, Russian officials openly and publicly threaten Armenia with a “Ukrainian scenario” if its pro-Western government, which has been confidently re-elected, continues moving closer to the European Union and European countries.
Well, it looks like Russia has suffered yet another (entirely predictable) foreign policy defeat.
🇦🇲 Armenia appears to have voted today to leave the Kremlin's sphere of influence and move closer to the free world.
Once again, Russia's invasion of Ukraine has proven to be the beginning of the countdown to the final collapse of the Russian Empire.
The continued stupidity and brutally self-destructive mistakes of this KGB clique across the region will drive the remaining nails into the coffin, and 🇺🇦Ukraine will be sure to finish the job with a shovel.
Ukraine‘s president Zelenskyy in an interview with Skynews disclosed that Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich came to Kyiv, Ukraine. This secret meeting took place recently and Zelenskyy made clear that Ukraine is not going to surrender any parts of Ukraine, including Donbas. Zelenskyy said that the only compromise he is willing to take is an unconditional ceasefire.
This are interesting news. Abramovich would have never come to Kyiv if this wasn’t sanctioned by Putin. In other words, Putin blinked.
Former close ally of Putin and the man that occupied Donetsk region in 2014 Pavel Gubarev has accused Putin of lying about the frontline situation and saying the Russian army are retreating in many directions.
‘Thank you for not forgetting about us’ says a Ukrainian that just returned from Russian captivity today . He’s crying while saying it . ‘Can’t believe I’m really calling you’ says another one while talking to his mother .’ ‘haven’t heard your voice in 4 years’
