@AutumnK2022 People leave reviews for DNFs? This is news to me! I can’t even get myself to rate a book if I feel like I didn’t give it a fair chance (usually half-listening to audiobooks while doing other things).

I had made a mental note that Heart of The Sun Warrior by @SuelynnTan would be out in November and was so excited to be able to pick up a copy soon, but just saw it would only be available in AU on the 30th of November! That’s too long from now! 😭
The eruption of the 🌋 Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai 🇹🇴, in January 2022 was the most powerful since #Krakatau 🇮🇩 in 1883 and generated a #Tsunami with waves of up to 20 meters high.
Proactive action by the government of #Tonga and its people saved many lives!

I just remembered Romeo + Juliet existed and I don’t know how I haven’t been watching it at least once a week. This mistake shall be immediately rectified.
I’m still going to write, but I know anything I write will be Pale Fire (see note to lines 2150-2151 of Timon of Athens) compared to Nabokov’s genius. I’ll continue being a reverent thief. #WritingCommmunity#ifyouknowyouknow
Reached the last page of Pale Fire and felt that there was no point in writing because I would never reach Nabokov’s level of perfection. It is entirely flawless.
@jon_cronshaw I read the classics as a kid (Tolkien & Lewis), but @matthaig1 really got me back into searching for something magical and fantastical in literature again as an adult.
This! It’s a constant up and down wrapped up with a feeling of disappointment and not being good enough. I’m glad we are recognising how different people are and how different success looks for each person
Something I feel might be a relatable experience for a lot of people with ADHD is the constant feeling like we're about to get our lives together... and then we just can't.
We have a few good days. Everything is going well and, as quickly as it came, it falls apart again (1/6)
@DrunkScribe@thelitlassy I always think I can write a book by hand, then start and cramp or get frustrated after about a page. I realised it was just a procrastination technique for me like choosing the perfect font to write an outline 😅
@kat_tastic I’ve done this for books that have super long chapters. I have a system with my bookmark to remember where I am, but it’s always at the start of a new paragraph
