Closing out my twenties: scarred but stronger, tired but more awake, still becoming. I am more than survival. I am ready to live. #thirtyflirtyandthriving
Lately I’ve been so frustrated with myself for being so easily irritable. I’ve talked back and gotten angry so much quicker. I feel like I’m not myself. Suddenly I realized though what if this is me, a me that respects myself to not let people treat me this way?
From the moment of our creation or evolution it is true that the human race has always been flawed. We survived because we depended and loved one another. Now I watch as people believe their own comfort is worth more then someone’s life. How did we get here? How do we go back?
I have decided fostering is the best and worst thing in the world. You spend all your time loving on and training this dog. Teaching them what love looks like and treating them like your own. Then you give them up. You know it’s right… but it breaks your heart anyways 💔
It’s a strange moment when something happens that you know would have absolutely destroyed you mentally just a few years ago and yet today it just rolls right off your back… I’d say that’s growth ❤️
I have always found it so hard to accept that sometimes you just have bad mental health days… they aren’t triggered by anything in specific so there is nothing to fix… you just have to feel then and wait for the sunshine to return ☀️
No matter where you sit on the spectrum of the Roe vs. Wade controversy… if you had to sit in my office listening to women cry out of fear for what is to come regarding their lives and their rights. Your heart would be breaking too 💔
Tips to not annoy your “friend” who is a healthcare worker: #1 Don’t only text/call them when you need medical advice #2 Respect rule number one and their time outside of the office!
Why is it a pattern in my adult life that every time I manage to make a close friend they end up leaving within a year of me knowing them? I’m over it… 😩
It’s been two years and I still can’t figure out how to respond when someone asks me what’s next after I tell them they are covid positive… what’s next is you go home and we hope you don’t get worse 😞
