Analysing the implementation of densification projects as a negotiation of public and private interests, we show how planners combine public- and private-law instruments to impose planning goals while simultaneously safeguarding the interests of developers and investors.

In #Bern a citizen initiative was accepted, demanding that 0.5% of public streets become unsealed and greened each year until 2032. +1% to be transformed into climate-adapted public spaces. If accepted by referendum, the city will be obliged to implement. #GreenYourCity 🌱🌿🌻
