In the last year there have been 16,000 fewer phones stolen in London, and we're backing the Met and partner organisations to keep up the pressure. I spoke to @LBCNews about the work going on to make our city safer for all.
Every woman and girl should feel safe in London.
That means listening to women about what makes them feel unsafe and taking action in response.
My new £15.6m Safer Public Spaces Fund will put women and girls at the heart of improving public spaces, supporting practical changes that can make a real difference across the capital.
.@ucl research shows global rise of tech-enabled VAWG as doorbell cameras, smart glasses and social media are being used to target, harass and abuse.
@MayorofLondon today calls on Big Tech, policy makers & experts to deliver practical, lasting solutions backed with £6m funding.
Great to be at the @uclcs' Tech Abuse Conference, hearing the Mayor of London speak about building a world where women & girls are safe online and offline: ‘safety by design must be the norm’.
We look forward to working with @MOPACLdn to reduce online harm for stalking victims.

Today I’ve announced a new £2.4m package of support for victims and survivors of Child Sexual Exploitation.
Any individuals, groups or grooming gangs exploiting children for sex are utterly abhorrent and I want justice for every single victim of these horrific crimes.
Our Evidence and Insight Unit surveys thousands of Londoners each year about policing and safety, provides our interactive policing & crime data dashboards and conducts a range of in-depth research and evaluation projects. Find out more about their work: https://t.co/gzr0LWEMqt
Our new London Policing Board members possess a diverse range of expertise and lived experience, and they all care deeply about policing in London.
Together, they’ll help me oversee the changes to policing that Londoners need and deserve.
Women & girls are entitled to public spaces free from sexual violence & harassment. That's why @MOPACLdn & @metpoliceuk have joined forces to promote #StreetSafe, where you can anonymously report places you don't feel safe - & police work with local partners to make improvements
Many congratulations to London's Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, @SophieKLinden, on receiving the Freedom of the City of London at Guildhall this afternoon.
.@MayorofLondon has today announced that he is setting up a London Policing Board to oversee and scrutinise the urgent reform of @metpoliceuk

AAF ED Jo-Ann Yoo is in London sharing best practices and lessons from how our #HopeAgainstHate Campaign helped make NYC a safer city for Asian Americans. Thank you @Strong_Cities for convening this transatlantic dialogue!
Glad to support such a fantastic event. And humbling to be in a room with so many experts delivering real change in communities in the UK, Europe and North America
Great to be part of this workshop today, meeting old and new friends, learning about different approaches to prevention and talking about our own work in the UK.
The Violence Against Women and Girls cost of living crisis fund is now open for bids from community organisations aiming to provide more help and support to vulnerable women and girls who are at a greater risk of violence due to the crisis. 2/2
Women should never be forced to choose between staying in an abusive relationship or destitution.
While the cost of living crisis is affecting us all, it is not doing so equally. I've set up a £1m cost of living crisis fund to help vulnerable women and girls escape harm. 1/2

For too long, work to end violence against women and girls has been focused solely on support for victims.
Today I’m launching City Hall’s refreshed VAWG Strategy that lasers in on preventing male violence before it happens and tackling misogyny.
