@MTuffsterX@CTVNews Exactly 😂 Wouldn’t be surprised if they wait a few weeks, repackage the same idea, and suddenly it’s their big announcement. Gotta get the credit somehow.
@kevin_hamilton8@CTVNews 😂 Exactly. People can disagree on policy, but acting like every government, company, or news outlet is automatically evil gets old real quick. I’ll take common sense over conspiracy theories any day.
@JohnRei66200049@charliewwg1wga 😂 Fair enough. At the end of the day, Canada should always put Canadian interests first and make sure any deal actually benefits Canadians.
@coachShortty@charliewwg1wga Exactly 😂 That’s kind of the point. If Canada wasn’t important, there’d be no need to negotiate or talk about trade at all. The leverage comes from the relationship.
@ScottyBeecroft@charliewwg1wga I hear you 😂 If you’re Canadian, you’ve got every right to call out what you see as BS. At the end of the day, the claims should be backed by facts, not just big talk.
@mistwhisperer@charliewwg1wga Exactly. Canada and Mexico aren’t just random trading partners—they’re deeply tied into the U.S. economy because of geography and supply chains. There’s leverage on both sides, so burning those relationships can hurt Americans too.
@SfMrfreeze@charliewwg1wga 😂 I can’t blame you for feeling that way. At some point, you’ve gotta stand your ground and put your own country’s interests first.
@deJong_dick@charliewwg1wga Yeah. At some point you have to question whether age and fitness for the job are being taken seriously. People in power should be held accountable, no matter who they are.
@itscollier@charliewwg1wga 😂 Could be, but that’s exactly why people should look at the numbers and the actual deal instead of just taking either side’s word for it. Canada needs to negotiate in its own interests too.
@Glovesave01@jonathan_f32966@GuntherEagleman Yeah, I hear you 😂 Every country has its own issues, and outside events can definitely have an impact too. At the end of the day, Canadians still have to hold their own leaders accountable. I just followed you btw, follow back 🤝
@EvilRayGun13@GuntherEagleman Absolutely, those are fair issues to put on the table. Election reform and a transparent review of federal taxes and equalization would be worth serious discussion. I just followed you btw—follow back 🤝
@TSLAGROK75@liberal_party@RobertW96576248 That's so true. Hard-working Canadians shouldn’t feel like they’re being punished for working, earning, and trying to get ahead. People deserve better than higher taxes and more government taking from their paycheques.
@MckinnonTodd@liberal_party Exactly. Support programs have their place, but if the government is doing its job properly, people shouldn’t have to depend on them just to get by.
@beansstitch@liberal_party That’s definitely a debate Canadians are having right now. If there’s enough concern, the confidence of the government should ultimately be tested through the proper parliamentary process.
@drwinzoski@liberal_party Exactly. Taxpayers are footing the bill while the government takes credit for “supporting” workers. At some point, we need policies that grow the economy instead of constantly leaning on taxpayers.
