CTE Carpentry and Boatbuilding teacher Ken Adams and students Chemonnie Little and Brandon Medrano stopped by for a conversation about their journey through the carpentry and boat building pathway at Washington High School. @PamPackWHS
The school's boat building program which has been in place since 2020 offers students a unique opportunity to learn the craft that sustains coastal communities like Beaufort County. These students have found their passion and are learning some valuable life skills!
They offer a unique perspective on the benefits of Beaufort County Schools CTE opportunities and we are excited for their future!

Nov. is Natl. Career Development Month, a time to promote benefits of career development to students by showcasing various career pathways & opportunities. NC Portrait of a Graduate complements those efforts, ensuring students are prepared for a range of postsecondary prospects.
An ELA team I’m working with is going to have kids put their descriptions of characters and settings into @canva’s Magic Media image generator, and if the images don’t turn out like they hoped, they’re going to add more detail to their story.
I’m excited to see how it goes.
