@ThePOTSPostman I'll never forget the first time I was dismissed by a doctor. My whole perception changed after that. I had always thought doctors/hospitals would do what it took to get to the the bottom of what was wrong.
@KennyCarmody Strength is not in the number of things you can do by the world's standards. There is a mental, emotional and spiritual strength that only God can give π
@hannahspierMD Why does it have to be a psychological ORIGIN? Couldn't it be the other way around? The psychological issues be caused by the trauma of everything that comes with having a very real ongoing physical disease?
@hannahspierMD Maybe this happens in some cases, but "explaining why they cannot move forward" is probably them explaining the severity of their symptoms.
I suspect what you call "protecting the illness narrative" might just be them describing the extent to which they're suffering.
@AetherFox_ I agree convenience is one reason. Also, it is an ongoing problem that can't be solved. People don't like that. Others find it easy to blame the person. Some may not know how to help.
@DiaryofaSickGrl It's a problem when people know your needs and do it anyway. I'm sure there are many people who don't know about MCAS. I didn't. More awareness is key π
@DiaryofaSickGrl It's been almost 7 years and 1 close relative (+ spouse) has always blamed me for my chronic illness and barely talk to me because of it. There's only so much you can do π
@DiaryofaSickGrl Yes, I hate to impose on people, but supportive people will tell me they purposely didn't wear perfume since they knew they'd be seeing me β€οΈ means so much
@WifeMamaHome I don't see anything in Genesis 16 to support surrogacy. In fact, the events of Genesis 16 seem to only cause division between all involved.
@jordanbpeterson@joerogan I just heard your Joe Rogan podcast and about your health issues: low blood pressure & fainting particularly. Have you heard of POTS syndrome, or considered that?
