The only work required for you as a Christian, is to forgive everyone of all of their sins. It’s super unnatural, it’s uncomfortable, it’s messy, and it’s actually really hard. But It’s the only way you can “show” people that you have been forgiven. That’s your fruit, that’s what God is looking for in you. That’s what shows people who Christ is and draws them in to Him through you.
@autocorrect2_0 I guess you can technically say it but the problem is that human ego will tend to focus on it over Christ. In both ourselves and others. I think it's just better not to.
You can if you’re paying close attention and also have the Spirit and discernment.
But not in the way that this verse is typically used by the self-righteous.
You can read into it to reinforce a self-righteous mindset, or you can be humbled and find life everlasting and peace.
The verses before talk about the “narrow” gate.. few find it.
Very few Christians actually show the unconditional grace of Christ, sadly.
And very few recognize it when they see it active in others’ lives if they aren’t “perfect”
But to those that see it, you can’t unsee it and yes, you can recognize it in others.
But those that have it, don’t need recognition
The fruit is love. Loving God and loving others... which just flows naturally and effortlessly when you realize that you have been so fully forgiven that He will remember your sins no more.. and you don't deserve it.
You start to forgive everyone of their sins... no matter what they are. That's the only work required. That's what being "Christ-like" is...
it isn't about legalistic performance. None of us measure up.
It's dying to self.... taking up a cross and following him: Which really is giving up your life anbd dying on a cross to forgive ALL people who hurt/offend you, even if they don't deserve it. ALL of them.
You want your stuff washed away? then, you wash other's stuff away in your heart.
Whether they are professing believers or not.. because Jesus' sacrifice is enough for them, as He is enough for you.. and you should HOPE and PRAY that they DO come to faith, and have their sins fully erased as yours have been.
What do you think of God?
How do you feel towards Him?
Do you know He is Good?
Do you know He will never leave or forsake you?
Do you know He will never sin against you?
Do you know that He will never harm you?
Do you know that He has plans for you, with hope and a future?
He loves you because He loves Jesus.
He sees Jesus in you by your faith (and nothing else).
This is the Gospel offered to all without conditions.
Hallelujah. ❤️🔥
@Praise_Yah_@Jimmy_Rohrbaugh@SilenceMyWord Your argument is that perfection to God is somehow less than what humans define as perfection? The Most Holy and Most Perfect God accepts a definition of Holiness that is LESS than that ?
HOLY HOLY HOLY.... is what the angels sing forever.... He is SO MUCH MORE HOLY!
You guys get lost in the details. Forget whether it was a literal snake or apple, for now... think about what the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil actually represents.... it's deep. As deep as you're willing to go... but more than that... look to Jesus. Did He actually exist? Did He sin? Even one proven sin would have completely disqualified Him as the Messiah (who was foretold and promised for thousands of years) Did He perform miracles? Was He crucified? Did He ressurect?
How many witnesses were there? How many witnesses DIED proclaiming what they say they personally witnessed? Can someone willingly DIE for something they would KNOW is false?
I agree that the majority of "alien phenomenon" I have seen evidence of is most likely demonic activity. I think another possibility is angelic. (Angels and demons are both interdimensional beings) I just do also think another *possiblity* is biologic from another flock. I'm not completely beholden to the idea of biologic beings... but if that ends up being somehow true and proven, it doesn't disprove or shake my faith.
