Phil Weiser: The Guy Who Read 1984 and Took Notes Like It Was an Instruction Manual.
When Phil Weiser cracked open Orwell, he didn’t see a warning — he saw a vision board. Big Brother’s apparatus? Doublethink as policy? Sign him up. The Ministry of Truth rebranded as the Attorney General’s office? Already halfway there.
He dreams of that world, where “equality” means erasing sex, “safety” means parents are the threat, and “democracy” means lawfare against anyone who notices the emperor has no chromosomes.
In his Huxleyan fever dream, the real savages are the parents clinging to common sense — the ones who don’t want their daughters sharing locker rooms with boys or their confused kids fast-tracked into medical experiments. Those bitter clingers with their “biology” and “parental rights”? They’re the primitives who must be civilized by the pharmacological wonderland.
Soma for the kids, pronouns for the dissenters, and Phil as the benevolent World Controller making sure no one commits the thoughtcrime of noticing reality.
He’s the minion who brings fire to the Shire. Not the bold conqueror — the smug, credentialed functionary in the nice suit who shows up with charts, grants, and federal muscle to “improve” your backward little corner of Middle-earth.
The mountains are too rugged? More administrative oversight. Families too intact? Time for some social engineering. Local sheriffs cooperating with ICE? Sue them — can’t have that unauthorized common sense disrupting the sanctuary script.
Like Saruman’s agents whispering sweet progressive nothings while the orcs tear up the hedgerows, Weiser arrives with his Supreme Court clerk pedigree, his Holocaust-survivor-family moral armor, and his Obama-era Rolodex, ready to industrialize the destruction of organic order. “For the greater good,” of course.
The same greater good that balloons Medicaid fraud budgets, treats violent crime as a Trump-era myth, and views concerned moms at school boards as domestic extremists.
This is the ugly archetype in full bloom: the intellectual who read the dystopias and thought, “Finally, a how-to guide.” The stereotype who mistakes his own will to power for compassion and his contempt for normalcy as enlightenment.
He doesn’t want to protect Colorado — he wants to remake it in the image of the regime’s fever swamps. Parents as savages. Biology as bigotry. Dissent as insurrection.
The Shire — and the rest of real Colorado — is waking up to the smoke. The minion’s fire isn’t as clever as he thinks, and the hobbits have long memories.
We’ve heard the accusations. We’ve heard the personal attacks.
If you believe the three common-sense @ProtectKidsCO initiatives are wrong, let’s have a public conversation where Colorado voters can hear both sides and decide for themselves.
Facts over fear.
Evidence over slogans.
The invitation is open.
@GovtsTheProblem Science is a sentient method of inquiry. Scientism is a totalitarian conclusion... but what was the motive? The answer to that is so scary I will refrain from opining.
