I share my story of joining the union as a remote actor, how I was treated, what I was told, how I lost my sag healthcare during the strike while I had cancer, & how remote work could democratize creativity. The dubbing industry really needs to be more accomodating for remote voicework. Things looked to be on the right path when the pandemic was going on but seems like things just went right back to the status quo and it's a shame, people are missing out on some serious talent.

so funny (not haha funny sadly) that i got into voice acting because of my love for anime dubs, and now i essentially work on everything but dubs, because no one wants to accommodate remotely-recorded dubs anymore. someday maybe things will change
