Baptized infant, regular church attender, believed in Jesus, prayed, and confirmed. But also, a lost, angry, introverted, depressed, abused, partying, risk-taking, womanizing, foul-mouthed mess. Jesus changed my life on 10/27/94! My Testimony --> https://t.co/9rSJZdoTjW
The first priority of Jesus was to please the Father, and do His will (Mt 26:39)(Jn 5:30)(Jn 6:38). If we would have this same desire, we would sin a lot less.
The Bible says that if we obey God’s commandments (Jn 15:11), pray in Jesus’ name (Jn 16:24), and are in fellowship with the Father and Jesus Christ (1 Jn 1:4), our joy will be full.
D. L. Moody said, “If I walk with the world, I cannot walk with God.” As Christians, we live in this world, but we are not to be a part of it. This world is not our home. It is where we temporarily live until we arrive in our permanent home with the Lord.
#DidYouKnow: Mark recorded Jesus as saying that 2 sparrows sold for a copper coin (Mt 10:29). However, Luke tells us in recording Jesus’ words that you could get a bargain deal if you bought 5 sparrows. They only cost 2 copper coins (Lk 12:6-7)!
The Bible says to be meek (Eph 4:2)(Col 3:12)(1 Tim 6:11). If we are meek, we will: Be blessed (Mt 5:5), Have abundance of peace (Ps 37:11), Eat & be satisfied (Ps 22:26), Be guided & taught by the Lord (Ps 25:9), Be lifted up (Ps 147:6), & Be given salvation (Ps 149:4).
Sin is equal in “one” way: any sin will keep you out of Heaven (a lie will keep you out of Heaven just as much as murder will). However, nowhere in the Bible does it say that God views all sins equally. The phrase “sin is sin” is not Biblical.
No man has ever been perfect and sinless. Only God is perfect and sinless. Jesus was (and still is) perfect and sinless (2 Cor 5:21)(1 Jn 3:5)(1 Pet 2:22).
