If you’re not happy by yourself, you cannot be happy because you married someone.. Your happiness is not another persons responsibility. Your happiness is your responsibility and yours alone. And it begins when you find yourself in Jesus.
Abraham never thought of bearing a son by the arm of the flesh (another wife) until God promised him
You’re most likely to act by the flesh after God speaks than before he speak. If God said it he will do it, just prepare yourself and allow God
No fear He didn’t change his mind
It begins in the mind.
You see it, and instead of rejecting it, you say, “That’s just how people dress nowadays.”
You see it again.
You get used to it.
You see it a hundred more times.
Eventually, what once looked extreme begins to look ordinary.
YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO BE PASSIVE!
Why?
Because we often don’t become comfortable with something the moment we participate in it. Sometimes, we become comfortable with it long before we ever participate in it, simply by repeatedly seeing it without resisting it.
But look at how much that perception has changed.
Today, certain forms of revealing clothing have become so common that people barely notice them anymore.
The scary part? even believers, pastors, and ministers of the Gospel have become accustomed to it.
Consider indecent dressing.
There was a time when a woman appearing in public with a significant portion of her breasts or thighs exposed would have been widely recognised, even by many people who were not Christians, as extremely indecent and offensive.
You don’t become comfortable with evil overnight. It often begins subtly. You see something you once considered wrong, but you don’t participate in it. Then you continue watching it. You laugh at it. You begin to excuse it. Eventually, you stop seeing anything wrong with it.
One of the dangers of constantly being exposed to sin is that familiarity can weaken your resistance to it. What once disturbed your spirit may eventually stop bothering you, not because it has become less sinful, but because your heart has become more accustomed to it.
Inability to accept ‘No’ is often the language of entitlement. Ability to accept it is the language of respect
You don’t become emotionally mature only when you learn to decline requests. You become emotionally mature when someone declines yours, and you still respond with honour
Much has been said about the courage to say “no,” but emotional maturity is also measured by how well we receive a “no” without becoming offended, manipulative, entitled, or resentful.
Not every closed door is rejection. Sometimes ‘No’ is simply another person’s right to choose, and maturity respects that
If you expect people to respect your boundaries, you must also learn to honour theirs. Emotional growth is measured as much by accepting ‘No’ as by saying it
Reading the book of Job and I can’t help but laugh at the kind of argument job was having with his friends😂😂 I could only imagine😂😂
Job 16:2 -“I have heard many such things: Miserable comforters are ye all.
I don’t even blame the guy because what are you telling me bro😂
Those that know how to pretend, how do you it?? Can you please teach me??😭😭😭😭
Because how do you pretend to enjoy the convo when you don’t, the food when you don’t. How soup pretend you’re okay with it when you’re not? Please teach me😭
