I wrote more about this in Dispatch: Context #3:
"Your verification loop is the bottleneck."
If you're an Android engineer trying to make sense of AI, this one is worth reading.

Hot take:
The biggest bottleneck in AI coding isn't your prompt.
It's your test suite.
The ceiling of what you can delegate to AI is exactly equal to the quality of your verification infrastructure.
The next hour you spend probably shouldn't be learning another AI tool.
It should be improving your verification loop.
Make tests faster.
Kill flakiness.
Add lint rules.
Add screenshot checks.
Encode architecture constraints.
That's where the AI ROI is hiding.
Published the latest issue of Dispatch yesterday. Lots of Android goodies in there that you should know about.
You can read it here β https://t.co/i5hFAviEsA
The latest issue of Dispatch goes out in ~5 mins. This is a really important topic in the AI first world we live in and is based on my observation helping thousands of engineers at companies like Airbnb and Databricks be AI first.
The latest issue of Dispatch just went out π
We cover some spicy topics and you don't want to miss the chance to learn a few new things in < 5mins.
In our latest newsletter, we cover the "40/30/30 rule" for AI dev tools.
We divide the choice of tools into 3 buckets think it's completely normal to use all the 3 types... in the same day!!
You already have it in your inbox or you can find it on the site π
@iSaurabhArora In those cases, I suspect Pair Programmer would take the lions share. Coding outside the IDE is unnatural to most Android dev. You need to lean in to really understand what a game changer it can be.
My current split is
10% pair
60% delegator
30% fire and forget
