@stoolpresidente Resigning likely constrains an NYT/Athletic investigation to Material Conflict of Interests.
DR’s resignation shifted the inquiry from “nature of relationship?” to “Did any of this materially compromise reporting?”
If “no,” NYT/Athletic could have exposure.
@TheRealWHJ Proclaiming these kids are the next Tom Brady, then saying they don’t belong in the NFL, then wondering why so many don’t develop is an interesting pattern. You have a rare rational take. Seahawks deserved to win. Asterisk for the Broncos, but the rest of the AFC had their chance
@BloodyJerry6 @LosTalksPats@Patriots True. He’s also pretty savvy about signaling confidence without creating bulletin board material. In fact, I feel like he drops lines like “the other best team” to potentially bait (in this case) the Seahawks to respond recklessly to an ostensibly respectful comment.
@Ken01therealdL@DillyHussain88 Coptic Christians pray to Allah because the word means God. God has the same foundational Old Testament basis in all three major monotheisms. Christianity probably diverges the most because of The Trinity concept.
@twayne0022 @713Capital @Patriots Exactly. Maybe they keep going, maybe they don’t, but you could easily imagine the Sept version of that comment: “Won’t matter. Y’all not making the playoffs anyways, so there’s that.”
@FarinellaMark@FoxboroFBall@TheTylerHetu@Patriots@DrakeMaye2 I don’t think Belichick’s line had anything to do w/ team quality. If any NFL team struggled against the nation’s *best* high school squad, something is horribly wrong. It’s not Single A baseball where a top HS high program could concieveably give a bad club a run for their money
@NickCRadio @SavageSports_ Take this for what it’s worth from some random internet person: why wade in further here? You’ve done an awesome job growing your profile as a podcast commentator over the past few years. Legit impressive.
But the cost of a misinterpreted take seems so high.
@ImThatShaunGuy @JOSHALLENSUX17 @PatsPlanet_ The Chargers are sitting Herbert so it’s unlikely they’ll win. But if the Pats lose and the Jags win, the Jags have the tiebreaker and get the 2 seed.
@ezlazar It’s getting “chippy,” so I think if the Jets don’t score on their opening second half drive, it’s hard to justify leaving all the key Patriots starters out there.
@big_mac_78@Michael81267864@NFLonFOX@TomBrady I’m a Pats fan and I totally agree. Those stats are “historically interesting,” but unrelated to the present. Also, agreed— if there’s an X factor (rivalry, grudge) driving a particular player vs. certain team, it doesn’t carry over to the positional group.
@BrentScher Could strong GDP growth coexist
w/ permanent job elimination, rising & inflation specifically because automation/AI has begun protecting big firm margins at scale?
If that’s potentially true, but difficult to track in real time, blame feels like something to worry about later.
@bella123jen@Bubblebathgirl For clarity, ICE would argue a brief, unremarkable traffic stop was a “casual encounter,” not full detainment they need to formally log. In my opinion, those stops are still detainments, but the causal encounter safe harbor relieves them of any duty to document them.
@bella123jen@Bubblebathgirl Here, yeah. If ICE detains w/o arrest, no record keeping required. Tom Lyon’s almost implies he *knew* ICE Rep. Omar’s son was *not detained.* Had he, a plaintiff argues ICE keeps records anyway; records subject to FOIA. Future suits against ICE likely 4.a violation claim heavy.
@cryptobruh117@DerrickEvans4WV Plus, despite prohibitions (typically) on deducting home office space, among families who can afford either option (and I agree no has been building the ‘50s version) maybe 40% have job-holders who work from home 2x+ per week. Add zoning restrictions and HOAs. Different world.
@lexi_burrow How dare you come out here with a reasonable, measured and compassionate take on this?
Fire Burrow! Or pay him $400 million (sorry, I don’t really know where I’m supposed to be on the outrage spectrum, but it must be one of these).
@suns2368 @LoneWolfMethod @JaredKollerKC BB wouldn’t admit the degree to which he trusted Brady and let him co-own the offense, but he did. At this stage, I suspect Mahomes sees much more than Reid in real time. Frustrating Reid implies Mahomes turns rushes into passes for no reason. Mahomes is seeming something.
