She departs the room with the intention of meeting her beloved outside. Much to her surprise, he stood just on the other side of the door. The revelation nearly made her leap out of her skin.

@TroupeThief - part of herself she'd always had to keep hidden for the sake of upholding regal appearances. Dagger was free to be herself around him, and that was part of the reason she'd grown so comfortable in his presence.
