What God does in believers in hard seasons:
1) Drives us to fervent prayer
2) Refines and purifies us of sin
3) Teaches us dependence on Him
4) Gives us a test that we can pass by his grace
5) Weans us off of loving the world
6) Shows us that true joy is in Him alone
Believers, your growth in holiness takes daily discipline. Do not expect to resist the devil if you ignore the Scriptures. Fill your mind with truth so you can recognize the lies of culture. Walk faithfully in obedience to your Lord.
Two Dates on the Calendar
Martin Luther said, "I only have two dates on my calendar . . . today and Judgment Day." How wise it is to live for those two days. While Judgment is probably the last thing on the mind of the world, it should be the first thing on the mind of the Christian because such a thought should help him walk in the fear of the Lord. It will help him keep his heart free from sin. But more than that, it will horrify him when he sees this world soak up sin as though there were no tomorrow. This world's love for iniquity justifies God's wrath. Think of their fate: "... but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek." ( Romans 2:8 & 9)
There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

Five things I've told my daughter about womanhood and femininity:
Fear the Lord; beauty fades, but godliness endures (Proverbs 31:30).
Seek a gentle and quiet spirit—it’s precious to God (1 Peter 3:4).
Embrace modesty as strength, not weakness (1 Timothy 2:9–10).
Use your gifts to build, not to boast (Proverbs 14:1).
Your worth is found in Christ, not in culture (Galatians 3:28).
