For my bday, I'm running a fundraiser on FB for the Epilepsy Foundation to "lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives:"

Gnight to the distance between you and okay
The logistics of tomorrow
The decisions you have to make
The work still undone
The night itself
There are epiphanies while you navigate the distance
It’ll be okay
We’ll be okay
We’ll get there, okay?

My dad had called 911 as I had a grand mal seizure. He said I was shaking, tense, and foaming at the mouth. It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I hope the donations made will help with the foundation's research. TY for reading, sharing, &/or donating.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 26. I was sitting at my kitchen table on my mom's laptop, looking up prices for sewing machines. I was going to be driving to the store shortly. I closed my eyes to blink. I opened my eyes in an ambulance.
