living our Jewish and Democratic values! combatting Antisemitism and hate! proud to be Jewish! The official affiliate Jewish organization with the @njdsc
Over 50 years ago, Rabbi Yitz Greenberg posited the following principle: "No statement, theological or otherwise, should be made that would not be credible in the presence of burning children." In children - our universal symbol of innocence, of possibility, of humanity - there can be no tolerance nor justification of their suffering. On this day, when the bodies of children are met by some with celebration or silence, we witness the desecration of humanity. In all that divides us, in all that tears at the threads of connection in our world, if we abandon our ability to grieve children, we have lost our soul. If we contextualize or feel the need to moralize such obliteration of innocence, I fear any credibility for our future. There are myriad reasons to weep today. For life, for death, for the symbolism of humanity lost.
It’s on us to stand up, especially as our souls are seared with tragedy.
There is so much more that connects us than separates us as Jews! This Black History month please stop whitewashing Jews as we commemorate and uplift our beautiful diversity throughout our religion!

Whomever the gubernatorial democratic candidate is must be committed to fully protecting the Jewish community against the alarming and record breaking levels of antisemitism. Full stop. That means using every tool at our disposal to do so.
As we celebrate Black History Month & the incalculable contributions to our society and & shared history, we want to take a moment to uplift Black Jews who often get neglected & in fact, denied they even exist. Our shared humanity is what makes us great!
As we commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day, let us remember that we are just now as a Jewish population back to pre-Holocaust numbers. 6 million Jews nd other minorities and their families forever not just damaged but completely removed, yet never erased, from this world.

Antisemitic incidents like this are disgusting and must be condemned. Hate has no place in NJ. This is not commenting on foreign policy - it is intentional hate and antisemitism.
We know firsthand what the fear of being round up does to communities. It’s how we ended up in ghettos during the Holocaust. It’s how we were sent to gas chambers. It’s how we know the fear of a door knock or hiding in attics or a basement.
We stand with our immigrant community.
Alana, your tireless commitment to the Jewish community, as Vice Chair, to empowering the next generation of young Jewish leaders, to passing meaningful legislation, & to fighting antisemitism will be deeply missed. You helped build our organization immensely! Best of luck in PA!
Thanks to eboard member Paige for your commitment to the caucus & to fighting antisemitism and support of the Jewish people. As a party, we Democrats need to do much more to combat antisemitism, & you championed that effort. You’ll be missed but we know you’re always a call away!
Here's to building a stronger and brighter democratic coalition in 2025! Together, we can:
🤝 Strengthen connections within our neighborhoods.
🌱 Support progress through impactful policies.
💙 Uplift every voice for a brighter future.
As we commemorate Hanukkah, it serves as a reminder of the enduring resilience, hope, and collective illumination we can bring to the world when we stand together. 🕎
Hanukkah’s miracle is not just that a little bit of oil lasted longer than expected - it is that the Jewish people lasted and persevered against violent occupation.
It’s the story that even in the darkest chapters of history, Jewish resiliency
shines.
Happy #Hanukkah2024
Had ourselves a Hanukkah party! Congrats to Asm @BenjieWimberly on receiving our first ever Mensch of the Year Award and Asm @GarySchaerNJ on receiving our first ever Maccabee of the Year award! What a fun party! Happy Hanukkah to all!
Today in Trenton, the 6 Jewish members of the legislature - Asw Bagolie, Asm Freiman, Asw Lampitt, Asm Schaer, Asm Schnall, and Asw Swain - w/ Speaker Coughlin, Majority Leader Greenwald, & Minority Leader DiMaio, had a Hannukah tribute! beautiful ceremony in a time of darkness
We send our well wishes and deep appreciation to Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt as she leaves office after nearly two decades, making her the longest serving woman in NJ Assembly history. She’s been a strong champion for public education, women’s rights, and the Jewish community.
Happy belated Sigd!
The Ethiopian Jewish community will celebrate Sigd, an ancient holiday.
Sigd comes from the word Sigda, which means “to pray to God or to prostrate oneself”. In Ethiopia, Jews would walk for days to climb a high mountain and pray in the direction of Jerusalem.
We are excited to host our second annual Hanukkah party! Please bring an unwrapped toy, grab a drink, and let’s raise a toast to celebrate the holidays! All are welcome to join us! Let’s raise a cup, Mazel tov!
