@thetrainline I have contacted Grand Central but they only compensate for delays and this train was cancelled. There were no Grand Central trains immediately before or after the cancelled one so what option did I have but to buy new tickets? The fact you won’t refund is shocking

@thetrainline travelling home from London to Doncaster last week. Train was cancelled so purchased new ones to ensure I could get my family home. How do I obtain a refund for the extra payment I had to make? Nothing obvious on My Bookings section on the App

@thetrainline But when I found out about the cancellation I wasn’t aware I could simply use another train until I reached the station and by that point I had already bought my ticket as didn’t want to risk being stranded in London overnight. How is that fair that I lose out financially?
