Increasing Awareness
The people who need
help can look a lot like
people who don’t appear
to need help.
Looks can confuse.
They can sometimes
be deceiving.
For anyone could be
suffering.
Anyone could be
grieving.
So look with a heart
of compassion.
Take note of the subtle
signs.
For a smile can hide
so much.
It can make people
seem like they’re fine.
And even when someone
seems filled with sun,
They could secretly be
battling rain.
They could be going
through a lot.
They could have a heart
that’s filled with pain.

Written as a reminder that anyone
could be suffering in silence.
Pause when you notice the signs. It could save a life.
Forever and Always
“I wrote my name
on someone’s heart
today.”
“How?” asked the
little girl.
“I was kind to them.”
“Oh” said the little
girl.
“So when you touch
someone’s heart you
stay in it forever?”
“Yes I believe you
do.”

Written on Oct. 30, 2023 in memory of Matthew Perry. When you touch someone’s heart, you stay in it forever. He did that for me. I believe he did this for many of us. #StarfishClub #X #matthewperry #MentalHealth
From everything I have read about Matthew Perry, I know that he wished to be remembered above all else as someone who did his part to make a difference in the world. He succeeded in doing this by having empathy and helping others who were struggling. I think that he would smile down knowing that so many people are remembering him for his contributions to the world around him and for being a good human. At the end of our lives if we are remembered for the good that we did, then I think that’s a life well lived. Rest in peace Matthew. Thank you for your authenticity. Thank you for helping others even when you needed help too. You were remarkable. That’s how I will remember you as will so many others. 🫶🏻#StarfishClub #X #mentalhealth
I want to leave Matthew Perry’s own words here as the way we remember him. There will never be another like him- he lit up so many hearts in so many ways. Godspeed to Paradise!
You became my poetry
a verse for all seasons
and I miss you now
as the seasons change without color
