Free and Available Now--Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group Lecture Series on the 6 Pillars and Coaching--Lecture Series
Hosted by Dr. Beth Frates and Dr. Meagan Grega in collaboration with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine
These lectures were originally conceived during COVID in 2020 when Dr. Beth Frates was planning a virtual LMIG meeting for her Harvard Medical School Group. She invited Dr. John LaPuma to talk about nature as medicine. When thinking about marketing the event to the Harvard Medical Students, she realized that LMIG groups from across the nation could enjoy this lecture via Zoom, and she invited colleagues who were running LMIGs at a variety of medical schools, including Dr. Meagan Grega. The first virtual LMIG presentation was held by Zoom, initiated by Harvard Medical School's LMIG under the leadership of Dr. Beth Frates, and it was a huge success. This led to the formal LMIG virtual lecture series in collaboration with ACLM and the partnership between Dr. Frates and Dr. Grega to organize each event. Over three years, they were able to collect a powerful series of lectures that anyone from any medical school can access.
The goal is to make teaching the science of the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine and the art of behavior change easy for medical educators. Any faculty member can play these lectures and hold discussions, question and answer periods, as well as lead application activities associated with each lecture.
Enjoy this lecture series!
