“Junior football is a journey of life not a journey of becoming the next superstar.”

I wrote this today because our son is now coming to the end of junior football and his last junior football presentation. I believed all involved in grassroots should read it.

Believe me it is the truth after 10 years enjoying youth football Sometimes parents don’t realise what coaches do , not just in the football family but in moulding these kids to become confident young adults.

Some parents can get caught up in their kids are going to become the next big thing, the best advice is let your kids be kids and listen to their coaches and you will be as lucky as us parents and see how at each foundation, each coach has given your child that their development as a young adult is second to none.

They won’t remember the trophy’s or where they finished in the league but they will Remember the memories and how they became who they are today.

To all the coaches , you know who you are from primary school footy to today thank you for making my son who he is.
