20 years ago today, Althea Gibson, the 1st Black athlete to win a Grand Slam, passed away.
Althea was the Jackie Robinson of tennis, who broke barriers so those who looked like her could fulfill their dreams.
Let's honor her memory by continuing to work for equality.
