UNC Asheville forward Toyaz Solomon is returning to UNC Asheville for his final college season, he tells @SeanPaulCBB of @TheFieldOf68.
Solomon averaged 15.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg and shot 61% from the field. Second Team All Big South.
UNC Asheville’s addition of App State transfer Jordan Marsh solidifies the Bulldogs really solid backcourt. The 5-10 Marsh is lightning quick, and can score it from anywhere. Really special young scorer. Had an up-and-down freshman year, but the potential is sky high.
Asheville’s guard trio features Justin Wright, Marsh, and Josh Banks. It’ll look different without Pember, but the Bulldogs should remain in the Big South’s upper-half.
LMU grad transfer Justin Wright has committed to UNC Asheville.
The 6’2” guard from Greenville North Carolina appeared in 29 games, averaging 11.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
Previously played at NC Central where he was a 2-Time All-MEAC selection.
Huge news in the Big South: UNC Asheville lands a commitment from Loyola Marymount transfer Justin Wright. Started his career at NC Central and averaged 11.5 points at LMU.
Wright is a very skilled scorer, who loves scoring from the mid-range. Shot 49% from the field and 41% from 3 this year.
Mike Morrell’s squad will be more guard oriented in 2024-25 with Wright and Josh Banks.
