He said yes to Virgil and Virgil went with Madrimov. He doesnt have the experience but he said yes to them anyway. And he'll be better at 160 too

@ProfessorMyke Zayas is young at 23 and will likely get better, so I doubt this will be his best version. He is also daring to be great, unifying in his first fight after being a WC and now Boots who some say is the best. Boots has a reputation but his resume is the only thing missing.

@JuanRod86411937 @NajiChill Context matters. Zayas has two belts yes, but he is the youngest champion aside from Abdullah Mason. He was offered the Fundora fight and Fun vacated. Ortiz was offered and he declined to fight Madrimov. Zayas doesn't have the experience but is still willing to fight the best.

@loscsh @hatebhar23 You just proved my point. Xander and Vergil already had negotiations before Ortiz decided to fight Madrimov. While the decision from Ortiz might be justified, it's not Xander's fault that Ortiz preferred Madrimov. It's also not Xander's fault Fundora vacated for Tsyu 2.

@loscsh @hatebhar23 When Xander sent the contract Vergil choose to fight Madrimos. Now Xander s a champ Ortiz wants to call the shots. The 50/50 wasn't the problem it was the location. Ortiz wanted Cali, Zayas wanted PR. Fundora also choose Tsyu 2 over Zayas and vacated.
